Hello, I'm Lynette!

I help design and plan digital experiences. The priority of my work is to allow people to accomplish their tasks without friction. I'd love for a first-time user to proceed with confidence and seasoned users to fly through the interface without flinching.

Do you agree? Let’s talk!

Fully understand the for whom and the whys of the project

Collaborate and brainstorm to get everyone's input

Synthesize ideas and data into tangible concepts to reference

Challenge your concepts and theories; adjust and try again

What was the outcome? How can it continue to grow?

“The root of our practice is located in the usefulness of the work, not the form that it takes.”

– Frank Chimero

I like to start at the root to define and solve problems, then help the team make decisions based on evidence, research, and proven patterns. Some examples of my work can be viewed on Bēhance.

Say Media

As a Senior Product Designer, I am helping the company transition from an internally-supported service to a consumer-facing digital product.

Simple Focus

I briefly joined the UX team at Simple Focus to assist in the distillation of customer and market research components into tangle concepts for a high-profile client. Deliverables include scenarios, wireframes, and flows.

HomeAway, Inc.

As a Senior UX Designer, I focused on native mobile experiences for iOS and Android. I also assisted other in-house teams conceptualize and define new visions and tools for their web products from the mobile perspective.

AIGA Austin

The Austin AIGA chapter regularly organizes and hosts a variety of events. As the 2011–2012 Communications Director in Austin, Texas, I helped design and code a consistent system of email announcements for each event, tracked participation, reviewed student portfolios, and fostered Austin’s growing design community.

NANO Fiction

I defined the branding and layout for this emerging flash fiction journal that has since grown into an official nonprofit literary publication. In addition to typesetting and designing each issue, my responsibilities included promotional materials and web design for both NANO Fiction and Houston Indie Book Fest.
